Hammams in Tunis

The medina of Tunis holds some of the oldest, and atmospheric hammams in north Africa keeping the Tunisians clean and scrubbed. Most of the hammams haven’t changed for hundreds of years, so the experience is as it was in the past. You will have to bring a towel, and people don’t bath naked, but with their under where El Methihra is a small one, and women bathe in the afternoon, and men in the evening. El Kachachine is a good one, and only for men. Zitouni is only for women, and it’s newer than the others. Sahib has a nice architecture and woman bath in the afternoon, men in the evening.
